We're looking to recruit a highly capable and enthusiastic Sustainable Farming Officer for Cymru to work with the NFFN until March 2026.

The successful applicant will focus on delivering the Montgomeryshire Grassland Communities Project, working closely with stakeholders, staff and volunteers to engage with farmers to improve the condition and resilience of neutral grassland within the area. You will also work with the local community to raise awareness of the climate and biodiversity crisis and encourage appropriate action. You will also help to deliver the NFFN’s wider priorities across Wales.

We're looking for someone with a good understanding of nature-friendly farming practices and the Welsh agriculture sector. You will also need to be extremely organised and able to handle a diverse workload efficiently as well as an excellent communicator and able to form strong working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders and partners.

Salary

£23,200 pro rata.

Home working in Wales and at the Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust offices in Welshpool
