At Creeve Cottage in the Sperrin Mountains of Tyrone in Northern Ireland, Bernard and Ciara Neeson, along with their children, are regenerating a 30-acre family farm inherited from Bernard’s father. The Neesons focus on sustainable, nature-friendly farming methods to nurture the land and produce healthy crops.
Their market garden supplies an honesty stall and a local veg box scheme, where they collaborate with other farmers. A unique water system, powered by spring water, keeps their greenhouse warm throughout the winter, enabling year-round growing. Composting plays a key role on their farm, with carefully aged, nutrient-rich compost supporting their greenhouse and garden crops.
